Common Features of Homes in the Providence Highlands
Mail Boxes
The Providence Highlands has selected a common design for the mailboxes shared between each pair of lots. The Providence Postmaster has approved the location, and requires the shared location between two lots, of the mailboxes. There are currently two approved designs for mailboxes–those that were installed in 2005-2006 and those installed post-April 2008.
If your home requires a new mailbox, the PHCA Board is recommending working with Robert Montgomery, (435) 512-7648 (C). Robert has built and installed the “new” mailbox designs and working with him will ensure consistency for the neighborhood. Note: the costs for the mailboxes have been shared between the two adjoining lots. If there is a lot next to you, you may need to work with the lot owner/builder next door to split the costs.
Street Lights
The Providence Highlands has selected a common design for the required street lights in front of each house. The street lights are to be equipped with an electronic sensor to automatically turn on the lights at night.
The PHCA Board would like to recommend the following wattages for your streetlights. You may want to consider using fluorescent bulbs to reduce your on-going energy costs and (probably) get longer usage out of your bulbs.
- Regular incandescent bulbs: 3 x 25 watt B10 bulbs
- Fluorescent bulbs: 3 x 40 watt equivalent B10 bulbs
Here are the details on the light fixtures:
- The PHCA Board is recommending working with Robert Montgomery, (435) 512-7648 (C). Robert has installed many of these light fixtures and has been working with a supplier to get these original matching light fixtures.
Park Strip Trees
The Providence Highlands has selected the “Blaze” Maple to line our streets in the park strips in compliance with Providence City Code. If you home does not currently have trees planted in the park strips, and you are planning or have completed your landscaping, please contact the Board for further information providencehighlands@gmail.com
I love the trees, the style of street lights and mail boxes. This is a great area I would like to build here.
